Inside, and still reachable

Our location is a stroke of luck on this day, and it works both ways.

You are on the grounds

We are right in the middle of it. Sitting with us means being at the festival — just at a table you can find again, instead of one that is 595 metres long.

And if you are still outside

One of the main entrances is right at our door. So you get something here even before you go in — or while you wait for someone who is still on the way.

The day, hour by hour

So you know where to be when — and when it is worth coming back over.

With us We open. Coffee. As soon as the set-up is done. If you arrive early you have little choice until the procession — and we are already open.

Festival The bands march in The twenty innkeepers march in with the mayor and the bands, and then the 595-metre table fills up.
15:00
Festival It quietens down The first hunger is gone and the table thins out. A good moment to gather a group again.

Festival The music stops Eight bands have played at the table all day. At eight it is over.

With us Closing time Between the two lie four hours in which we are open.

At eight the lights go out at the dumpling table. We still have four hours then.

Where do we meet?

At a table 595 metres long with thirteen thousand people, any group loses each other within ten minutes. So here is an address you can forward.

The sign on the wall — that is how you spot us.
That is how you spot us: the sign above the door.

What we have

No dumplings, no marquee, no brass band. But a place to sit and something decent in the glass.

Coffee in the morning

Espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato — before anything happens at the dumpling table.

Aperol Spritz & Hugo

What everyone drinks on a Saturday in September anyway. We take trouble over it.

Wines by the glass

From growers Liane has visited in person — among them the Welschriesling from Weingut Trabos in Gamlitz.

Huber Bräu

The local beer, from the brewery four minutes' walk away.

Insider tip sounds grand for a bar with twenty-two seats. But that is exactly the point: whoever knows we are here has a coffee in the morning, a chair in the afternoon and a meeting point that fits in one sentence.

The dumplings are at the table, and they are better off there than here. We are what comes before and after.

You cannot book a table.

That is not carelessness but intent — it is how we work all year. On a day like this all the more so: whoever is here, is here, and the seat belongs to whoever walks in. Just come by and enjoy the festival.
